Meghan Markle Uses £17K for One-Day Clothing Spree in NY After Selling Ring for Cash

Prince Harry was disheartened, as was I, when he decided to spend his £17,000 on just one day of shopping in New York. This madness came after he had already used some of his funds to sell a ring, and Prince Harry seemed frustrated and angry at his wife, Meghan Markle, for apparently monopolizing their time during their visit to the city .

According to body language expert Darren Stanton, it was evident that Harry presented two contrasting sides during their public appearances. When alone, he seemed remarkably relaxed, with lowered shoulders and a frequent smile. Speaking alone to the press, he appeared passionate and authentic, receiving warm applause.

However, when Meghan joined him, his behavior changed noticeably. In photos from their conference in New York, Meghan could be seen beaming with a big smile, while Harry looked like someone had stolen his joy. His furrowed brows, expressing frustration and anger, made it clear that something was wrong. It seemed he found sharing the spotlight frustrating, even with his wife.

The frustration with Meghan wasn’t limited to their time in New York. She had sold her wedding ring, which had sentimental value due to Diana’s stone, and used the money, along with Harry’s inheritance, to fund her extravagant clothing expenses at the New York event. Meghan sported two different looks which totaled over £17,000. To start the day, she wore a jacket with black skinny jeans, a 14-karat gold and diamond choker necklace worth $3,850, and a Cartier Love bracelet worth $7,350. She completed the outfit with Jennifer Chamandi Lorenzo 105 pumps priced at $713.

Later in the day, Meghan donned a sophisticated ivory suit, including the Alazur Wedding Off-The-Shoulder Wool Blazer, priced at $987, and the matching Alazur Bendix Wide-Leg Wool Pants, priced at $995. Her shoes were from her favorite brand, Aaza, specifically the nude leather Purest 105 pumps, costing $825. However, the most extravagant part of her outfit was her jewelry, valued at around $6,000.

Currently, it appears the Sussexes are surviving on loans, potentially secured by money from Harry’s inheritance, if any is left. Their engagement ring, in particular, has no sentimental value to Meghan, even if it did to Harry. Although their achievements in Hollywood, including deals with Spotify, Netflix and Penguin, were initially lucrative, it appears that most of those funds have been exhausted. Actual contract terms were shorter than expected, with Netflix still holding half of the contract amount. Additionally, Harry’s book deal, which includes four books, might not be enough to support their lavish lifestyle, estimated to be worth $12 million to $15 million per year.

Megan generates income through merchandise sales, while Harry receives income from investments in companies like Travist and BetterUp, although these income sources fall far short of covering their financial needs.
