Luke Macfarlane is a Canadian-American actor and former singer known for his role as Scotty Wandell on the ABC television drama Brothers & Sisters. He is also famous for his role as RAC agent D’avin Jaqobis in the space sci-fi series Killjoys and as the romantic lead in a series of Hallmark Channel Christian movies.
Born in London, Ontario, he attended London Central Secondary School. Later, he attended the Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts. He also studied drama at Julliard in New York. After his studies, he had an early role opposite Chia Nixon in Tanner on Tanner on the Sundance Channel.
In addition, he landed starring roles in the 2005 FX series Over Time and the 2009 two-part miniseries Iron Road. To be honest, his first notable role was as Scotty Wandell in Brothers & Sisters. His other notable television roles included Jason Howell on the Canadian sitcom Satisfaction, Rick Lincoln on NBC’s The Night Shift, and D’avin Jaqobis on Syfy’s Killjoys.
Moving on, he was one of four leads in Junenilia at Playwrights Horizons Theater from November 14 to December 21, 2003. Additionally, he played the title role in the American premiere of Where Do We Live. He also appeared with Jill Clayburgh and Hamish Linklater in the Off-Broadway production of The Busy World is Hushed.
