Ellison owns the huge luxury yacht Musashi. Musashi was custom built for him in 2011 after he sold his previous yacht that year. The yacht was built by the well-known Feadship company, with interior design by De Voogt shipbuilders. His yacht is valued at more than $100 million.
He was born in the Bronx, New York to Jewish parents, but grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He also grew up in an intelligent household, with his father being a pilot. Larry was diagnosed with pneumonia at nine months old and couldn’t cope while he was sick. As a result, Ellison’s birth parents gave him up for adoption to relatives.
He didn’t meet his biological parents until he was in his forties. He attended and graduated from South Shore High School in Chicago.
