Jeanine Pirro is an American television personality, journalist and former judge who is recognized as a co-anchor on FOX News. She is a respected judge who spent time working as a judge and district attorney in New York State before officially retiring. Pirro even hosted a FOX News show called Justice with Judge Jeanine until it was canceled in 2022. Before FNC, she served as the first female district attorney in Westchester County.
Jeanine was born and raised in a middle-class family living in the northern suburbs of Elmira, New York. She grew up to be an intelligent young lady who was always absorbed in reading a book. Pirro attended and graduated from Notre Dame High School. She then joined the University at Buffalo where she earned her first Bachelor of Arts degree.
Jeanine then received her Juris Doctor degree from Union University Albany School of Law in 1975. Eventually, she interned with the Chemung County District Attorney. Her incredible work ethic then earned her the opportunity to work for Westchester County as an Assistant District Attorney. Jeanine started her first project writing appeals while handling small cases.
However, Jeanine decided to specialize in domestic violence cases and applied for a federal grant from the local attorney’s office to create offices to focus on domestic violence issues. Her grant was accepted and she was selected to head the Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Bureau in Westchester in 1978. In 1990, Jeanine left her employment with the District Attorney’s office to work as a judge in the Westchester County Circuit Court.
In 1993, she was elected as the first female county attorney for Westchester. Pirro served as a District Attorney for many years before announcing his candidacy for the United States Senate in 2006 as a Republican candidate. She also began her media career appearing as a regular contributor on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet while running for the Senate.
Pirro has even appeared as a Guest Analyst for FOX New York and other shows on FNC. In 2008, Pirro began her career as a television presenter with her appearance CW judge Jeanine Pirro during the day. After two years, FOX News decided to give Jeanine her own show Justice with Judge Jeanine in 2011. The show ran for a decade before its final season in 2022. Jeanine now appears as a legal analyst and co- anchor on FOX’s Morning Show.
