Hallie Jackson is an American journalist who currently serves as the chief White House correspondent for NBC News since 2017. She also works as an anchor for MSNBC, a cable division of NBC News. In addition, Jackson also acts as anchor for the news, the morning talk show Today on NBC.
Before joining NBC News in 2014, Hallie worked in Salisbury, Maryland. Dover, Delaware? New Haven, Connecticut; Hartford, Connecticut; and Baltimore, Maryland.
Jackson began her reporting career at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland and Dover, Delaware in 2006, where she worked for two years. In 2012, she moved to the Hearst Corporation where she reported for 26 stations in Washington.
Additionally, in late summer 2016, Hallie began anchoring the 1 PM ET edition of MSNBC Live, NBC News' daytime coverage platforms. In January 2017, NBC named her a White House correspondent.
