Georgie Tunny is an Australian journalist and television presenter. Tunny is best known for her work as a presenter on Network 10’s The Project. Previously, she worked on the ABC News Breakfast series.
Tunney was born and raised in Brisbane, Queensland. She studied at the University of Queensland, where she graduated with a double degree in Arts and Journalism in 2013. While still at the University, she received eight Dean’s Commendations for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the ‘Academic Merit Scholarship’ in 2009. She began her career with an internship at The Courier-Mail in 2012. In the same year, Georgie interned at the ABC.
From 2012 to 2013, he was part of Clive Palmer’s relations team at Andrew Crook Publicity. She then moved to work at Fox Sports Australia, where she worked for three months before being offered a full-time job at the ABC.
