Berthold Kohler is a German journalist and one of the four editors of the leading conservative German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
After studying political science at the University of Bamberg and the London School of Economics, in 1989, he began working for the political edition of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. In the early 90s he was sent as a correspondent to Prague, later to Vienna, where he was a correspondent for Eastern and Southern European affairs. In 1999, Berthold was appointed editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
