Biography of Bert Kreischer
Bert Kreischer aka The Machine is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, reality television host, and actor. He is the owner of the podcast Bertcast and Open Tabs and the cooking show Something’s Burning which started in 2012. In addition, Kreischer also co-hosts the podcast 2 Bears, 1 Cave with Tom Segura. As a comedian, he is best known for his performance in shows such as Bert Kreischer: Comfortably Dumb and Bert Kreischer: Secret Time.
Bert was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. He completed his high school education at a private Jesuit high school and later attended Florida State University where he studied English. He was also a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. During his time at the University, he was named “Top Partier” by “Rolling Stone” magazine. That same year, the university was named number one in “The Princeton Review’s” annual list of “Top Party Schools” in the US.
His professional career began as a stand-up comedian in a bar and nightclub in Tallahassee, Florida. After that, he went to New York where his tape was sent to a talent agent who invited him to the city to attend some stand-up shows. In 2009, he hosted his first special titled ‘Bert Kreischer: Comfortably Dumb’. In addition to that, Kreischer worked the door at the now defunct Boston Comedy Club. In 2014, Bert released his comedy special National Lampoon Live: New Faces – Volume 2, along with four other comedians. In addition, he has also appeared on various shows such as “Late Show with David Letterman”, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “Conan”, late night talk shows. From 2011 to 2015, Kreisher was the face of “Hurt Bert,” an FX show where he performed dangerous stunts.
