Matos started his music training at the age of ten, when his parents gave him his first piano. He used to gather with his friends as a teenager to listen to their favorite bands. The song “Fairy Tale”, which appeared in the Brazilian soap series Beijo do Vampiro, collapsed the band in fame. Ritual, their debut album, sold over 200,000 copies worldwide in its first year, creating a tour of 150 shows around the world and a DVD called Ritualive.
