Prior to KOMO TV, Michelle worked as a correspondent and news reporter for various stations based in Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Steubenville, Ohio. Esteban was born and raised in a working-class family living in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. She grew up to be a very intelligent young lady who loved to study and watch news from the age of 10. Michelle finished high school in her hometown and went on to college. She graduated from Penn State University with her first degree in Journalism and Communications.
Michelle began her broadcasting career in May 1989, working as a news anchor and reporter for WTOV News in Steubenville, Ohio after graduating from college. He reported live from different locations covering various news updates and reports affecting Ohioans and surrounding areas. Michelle left Ohio and moved to Pittsburgh to work as a news reporter for WPIX News in 1994. She became known for providing the most insightful investigative reporting, such as full coverage of the dangers of a game that led the Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall $3.4 million among other reports. In 1997, Michelle left WPXI News and joined ABC 15 Arizona as a news correspondent and reporter. In early 2000, she left Arizona and moved to Seattle to pursue her current job as a news reporter for KOMO News 4.
