Kelly McEvers is an American news reporter. She currently serves as host for NPR’s “Embedded” podcast. MvEver is a two-time award-winning journalist who previously served as anchor of NPR’s flagship news magazine. Much of her career was spent in Asia as an international correspondent.

As a foreign correspondent for NPR, she covered major international events such as the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, the uprisings in the Middle East linked to the Arab Spring, and the civil war in Syria. Kelly is currently the host and creator of the acclaimed podcast Embedded. Kelly’s documentary show goes to hard places to make sense of the news.
