Gultekin Khan
Gultekin Khan is a well-known writer and poet in Bangladesh, widely known as the ex-wife of renowned novelist Humayun Ahmed. Once again, women attract the attention of the media when she married Aftab Ahmad, additional secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
On April 28, 1976, Gultekin married novelist, playwright, screenwriter, filmmaker, singer-songwriter, scholar and lecturer Humayun Humayun Ahmed at Holy Cross College in Dhaka. Then she studied at the University of Dhaka and obtained a BA in English Literature.
She dreamed of being a doctor at the beginning of her life but her early marriage decimated that dream. She had a huge talent and could become a doctor, but she dreams of not staying with her husband for her graduate studies abroad.
Humayun Ahmed falls in love with the actress of his daughter, Meher Afroz Shaon, who decided to marry her. Eventually, Humayun divorced Gultekin Khan's first wife in 2002. However, Gultekin married Aftab Ahmed in 2019, after 16 years of divorce from Humayun Ahmed. Aftab Ahmed also divorced 10 years ago from his first wife. Gultekin has three daughters named Nova, Shila, Bipasha and a son Nuhash Humayun.
