Darryl Johnston, nicknamed “Moose”, is an American former NFL running back for the Dallas Cowboys. He is a three-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Pro Bowl running back for the Dallas Cowboys. He is currently a FOX Sports NFL game analyst. In 2001, he became a full-time analyst at the station.
He spent a year at CBS as a play-by-play analyst for the NFL before joining FOX Sports. He also serves as the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the newest incarnation of the USFL.

Darryl was selected 39th overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 1989 NFL Draft. He was a member of the team from 1989 to 1999. He was a three-time Super Bowl champion (XXVII, XXVIII, XXX) and a two-time Pro Bowler against during his professional career.
Additionally, as a Cowboy, Johnston appeared in 149 consecutive games from 1989 to 1997. Additionally, after suffering a neck injury in 1997, he retired at the end of the 1999 season. In 2018, he was the General Manager of the San Antonio General Managers Alliance of American Football.
After his retirement, he joined the Fox Sports Radio Players Inc Radio program when it relocated in 2003. Daryl began his career at FOX, where he worked with play-by-play announcer Dick Stockton. He worked alongside play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert and on-field analyst Tony Siragusa from 2008 to 2014. Daryl worked with play-by-play announcer Chris Myers and reporter Laura Okmin during his season 2019.
Additionally, along with Albert and Barry Alvarez they called the BCS Orange Bowl in January 2008. In July 2010, Daryl joined the NFL Network as a studio analyst for “Total Access”. In 1996, he hosted his on KXAS-TV and “Inside the Huddle” on KDFW-TV. He also worked for six years as host of “The Moose Call,” a weekly radio show on KRLD/KLIF in Dallas.
