Cruz Supat is an American genre hybrid rap artist/songwriter whose talents stem from his roots in Kingston, Jamaica. He grew up in the Southside ghettos of Kingston, where he was surrounded by poverty and gangs. His exposure to music began at home and became a passion as he attended community street parties known as dancehall. He wanted to make a name for himself outside the common path of violence and was inspired by the positive influence music had on the community.

Biography
A notable incident during his early years, being whipped with a gun on his way home from school, caused him to wear a mask publicly as a means of concealing his emotions.
Cruz Supat was raised by his mother with his two sisters. Information about his biological father is still unknown.
Career
Cruz SupatHis rap/hip-hop style fuses the traditional genre with elements of rock and trap, as well as dancehall and reggae vibes originating in his native Jamaica. Real experiences are woven into his songs, a feature inspired by artists Buju Banton and Sizzla. His lyrical technique is influenced by artists such as Eminem, Vybz Kartel and Rakim. All of his lyrics are rooted in personal experience, emboldened by his commentary on current events and how to live in a world full of moral conflict. While its message may be hopeful, it’s overlaid with a dark depression reminiscent of Linkin Park and Disturbed. His fans have followed him for many years, but for new listeners he debuts as “the unknown who is dreaded”, and reminds new audiences that misjudged images can spoil the message.
Beginning
Born in downtown Kingston, Jamaica on Fleet Street and Tower Street, Cruz Supat was surrounded by a large and diverse music scene. Music of all genres played daily in the streets of his hometown, inspiring and motivating the community through their daily lives. His hobbies include photography, videography and cooking traditional Jamaican dishes. Cruz Supat’s connection to music began one night when he was just nine years old, when he used one of his few dollars to play Sizzla’s “Black Woman & Child” on an old juke- local box. The appreciation for beats and lyrics never left him, and his gift for writing and performing was a defining factor throughout his life.
Worldwide popularity
Cruz Supat rose to popularity as an underground artist after the talent merger between upcoming artist (Cruz Supat) and producer Sadiq Rhoden better known as Sadface.
