Ari Emanuel is an American entrepreneur and CEO of Endeavor. Endeavor is an entertainment and media agency owned by the UFC. Emanuel was a founding partner of Endeavor Talent Agency and was instrumental in shaping its June 2009 merger with William Morris.
Born in Chicago to a Jewish family, he attended a local school in his hometown. In third grade, he was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia. His mother also helped him learn to read because of his condition. He even hired tutors and private tutors to give reading lessons at home.
Before founding Endeavor, he was a partner at Inter Talent and a senior agent at ICM Partners. In May 2013, Fortune called him “one of the biggest guns in the unified entertainment business.” Endeavor went public in 2021 with him owed a stake worth about $480 million. In 2022, he urged businesses to stop doing business with rapper Kanye West over his anti-Semitic comments.
