Alicia Roberts is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist serving as a news anchor and reporter for CBS KYW-TV Philadelphia since December 2020. She joined CBS after completing her tenure as a news anchor for WGCL CBS 46 News since 2017 through 2020. Alicia gained even more experience and public attention because she worked as a correspondent for Comcast Sports Network based in Chicago, Illinois from 2013 to 2016.
Roberts was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. She grew up as a very curious child who developed her passion for journalism at a very young age. Roberts also grew up as the middle child in her family. He was able to finish high school at a private academy based in Georgia. From there, Roberts applied for a degree in Journalism from Temple University. She then graduated with her Masters in Public Communication from Drexel University in 2005. Additionally, she began working as a member of the Miss Philadelphia Organization Board of Directors in 2003 while in college.
Roberts began her career in 2008 working her first job as a news reporter and correspondent for the Tampa Bay Trays Network. He spent about five years covering various live newscasts around the country and the world. In 2013, Alicia left the Tampa Rays and joined Comcast Sports Net in Chicago as a sports anchor and reporter. Her main duties at the station were to provide the latest sports updates on NFL, NBA and other sports related news.
In 2016, Roberst left Chicago and returned home to work as a news anchor for WGCL CBS 46. She also appeared as the primary sideline reporter for the Atlanta Skyhawks while working as an anchor for CBS Atlanta. During her tenure at CBS 46, Alicia spent four years covering political updates, sporting events and other general news. He left CBS 46 News in 2000 and joined CBS Philadelphia as a full-time reporter.
