Virginia Gardner is an American actress known for playing Carolina Dean in Marvel’s Runaways (2017-19), Vicky in Halloween (2018) and Shiloh Hunter in The Fall (2022). Born in Sacramento, she attended Sacramento County Day School from kindergarten through eighth grade.
Gardner took part in many of her high school productions and in 2011 moved to Los Angeles with her family. There she took online classes before later taking the California High School Aptitude Test in October 2011. Her desire to act was a result of watching Sean Penn’s 2001 film I Am Sam.
She initially lived with her mother to pursue acting full-time. She lived with her mother for the first year and then moved into her own apartment when she started getting more money. After her role in Lab Rats, she took a year off from acting to pursue modeling. As a model, she has modeled for Kohl’s, Love Culture, HP, Hollister, and LF, among other brands.
Starting out in acting, Gardner starred in the 2015 science fiction thriller Project Almanac as Christina Raskin. Gardner is set to star in the 2023 film Beautiful Stater as Abbie Abernathy. As an individual, she has received widespread acclaim for her portrayal of an LGBTQ hero. She also describes herself as a feminist.
