Ty Pennington is an American television host, artist, carpenter, author, and former model and actor. He became known for his role as a carpenter on the TLC home improvement reality show Trading Spaces (2000-2003) and continued when the ABC reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (2003 – 2012) aired. He went on to win two Primetime Emmy Awards.
After the show ended in 2012, Burton went on to host ABC’s short-lived The Revolution in 2012, TNT’s On the Menu opposite Emeril Lagasse in 2014, and The Food Network’s American Diner Revival with Amanda Freitag from in 2015 to 2016 with Pennington. in the Trading Spaces revival, which premiered on TLC on April 7, 2018, was announced on September 13, 2017.
