Thomas Matthew Crooks: Suspect in Donald Trump Rally Shooting

Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, has been named the suspected gunman in the recent shooting at a Donald Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The incident, which is being investigated as an assassination attempt, resulted in the death of one attendee and left two others critically injured. Former President Trump sustained a minor injury to his right ear. The attack occurred just before the Republican National Convention, where Trump is set to be named the party’s presidential nominee.

Authorities report Crooks was a lone wolf shooter and was killed by a Secret Service countersniper. The incident, which occurred just before the Republican National Convention, is being investigated by the FBI and other agencies amid a heightened threat environment.
