His older brother, Abdul Hai, was a well-known artist. He follows his brother and studies at the University of Dhaka in Fine Arts. Samad graduated from university.

Tele Samad started the journey in the showbiz arena with the movie 'Kar Bou' in 1973. It quickly attracts people's attention by its ability to play comics.
