Tanika Ray is a prominent American dancer, actress and entertainment reporter from Washington DC. currently works for Extra as a co-host.
She began her career as a professional dancer with artists as diverse as the Backstreet Boys, Peter Andre, Will Smith, Brandy Norwood and the late singer Aaliyah.
Later, Ray began acting, guest-starring on various shows such as NYPD Blue, Living Single, Family Matters, and The Wayans Bros.
Ray also appeared on music-oriented shows including Soul Train, the short-lived late-night talk show based on Vibe, and the Motown Live Show.
In Wheel of Fortune, Wheel of Fortune 2000, she appeared as a motion capture character who provided the body movements and voice of the computer animated hostess “Cyber Lucy” for the children’s version. During this time, he served as the official voice of CBS Saturday Mornings.
He later began hosting various television shows, including Robotica, which was co-hosted by Ahmet Zappa for TLC. Ray also co-hosted Lifetime Now for Lifetime TV with Linda Dano. He hosted another show after several seasons of Lifetime Nowb on Lifetime called Head2Toe.
She became a New York correspondent in 2004 for the entertainment magazine show called Extra (TV series). Tanika was then promoted to host the weekend show called Extra’s Weekend Show after two years. her promotion required her to move to Los Angeles.
