Souza was born in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but grew up in San Diego, California. He finished middle and high school in California. Tammie’s favorite subjects at school were math and science. She developed her passion for weather forecasting at the age of twelve. Eventually, he graduated with honors and joined San Diego State University. Tammie earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of San Diego. She then received her master’s degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University.
After graduation, Souza began her career in meteorology at KHSL News based in Chico, California.
