Fazlul Haque Mani is the nephew of Bangladesh's founding father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and he also founded the Mujib Bahini. His mother Arzu Moni was a housewife. He has an elder brother, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, a member of Parliament from the Dhaka-12 constituency. Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, member of the standing committee of the Bangladesh Awami League, is his paternal uncle. Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is his aunt. Former Jubo League president Omor Faruk Chowdhury is his uncle, the husband of his father's sister.
