Royal expert Tom Quinn just dropped one hell of a bombshell when he revealed the story of two construction workers who once caught Princess Diana sunbathing.
Quinn has just released his new book “Kensington Palace: An Intim-te Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle”, in which he spoke to people who had worked with the royal family for years. It was during these discussions that Quinn learned some shocking stories about Diana.
“It’s surprising,” Quinn told Fox News. “I was more surprised than anyone when I found out – you know, there are so many stories about the late Diana, Princess of Wales. I thought, ‘Well, there can’t be many more. people haven’t heard.’ But talking with different people, I found wonderful things.
He went on to explain that Diana liked to sunbathe in the n-de of her roof garden at Kensington Palace, where she thought she was safe from paparazzi and helicopters.
“She loved sunbathing,” Quinn said. “It was the 90s. There wasn’t so much worry about cancer scares and so on. She used to sunbathe on a flat roof at Kensington Palace.
One day, however, things went horribly wrong as Diana was sunbathing in the buff.
“Someone had done something with one of the screens,” Quinn explained. “There were small trees in troughs around the flat roof and she hadn’t noticed that it had been removed. So she got up without clothes and immediately realized two masons who were working a hundred meters away. She was face to face with them. They had seen her standing and without clothes. And the two builders immediately bowed and turned away.
“They may have been just builders, but they were gentlemen all the same,” he added.
Quinn also heard other stories about Diana, as aides at Kensington Palace recalled that they had often heard her fight with her husband, Prince Charles.
“You could hear them rowing almost from the day they moved in,” a staff member told Quinn.
This didn’t surprise Quinn at all.
“They almost maneuvered together because she was from a very old English family,” he explained. “And Charles needed someone young [who]
could have children. I’m not sure they were well matched, but they were maneuvered together by the royal establishment.
Most of the fights were over Charles’ supposed mistress, Camilla Parker-Bowles.
“If you watch the wedding day movie, there’s tension and unease,” Quinn said. “…Camilla and Charles had a relationship before Diana and I think Diana rather naively thought the relationship would end. That would never happen… Camilla actually encouraged [Charles] marry Diana because they thought Diana would be complacent. She was shy. They thought she would just accept the fact that Charles and Camilla would continue to see each other.
“They completely underestimated her,” he continued. “In fact, someone told me that if you watch the film of the wedding very carefully, you can see Diana peeking because Camilla was actually there in the church when they got married. You can see from the start that Charles and Diana’s marriage was doomed because the cracks were there from the start.
The couple divorced in 1996 and Diana tragically died a year later in a car accident at the age of 36. Although it has been over twenty years since her death, Diana is still dearly missed by millions of royal fans to this day.
