He started his career at Jomo Cosmos, then played for Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, before joining the Greek club Ionikos to play under coach Nikos Alefantos. He later joined Belgian KFC team Rita Berlaar and Qatari club Al Sadd. He also joined Supersport United as an assistant coach to Bruce Grobbelaar and then head coach from 2001 to 2007, where he finished second in 2001–2002 and 2002–2003 in the Premier Soccer League.
