Nicole Kidman’s ‘terrible’ Vanity Fair cover outfit has fans ‘shocked’

We’d like to get “Far and Away” from this fashion trial and error.

Nicole Kidman covers Vanity Fair’s Hollywood 2022 issue in a skimpy ensemble from Miu Miu’s much-discussed Spring 2022 collection of shrunken and bare schoolgirl staples.

The ‘Being the Ricardos’ star, 54, modeled a low-waisted miniskirt so short it practically qualified as a girdle herself, with a matching pleated bra top that exposed miles of belly.

The work of British stylist Katie Grand, Kidman’s collegiate-slash-coquettish cover look was completed with gray socks and pointed-toe loafers.

But suffice it to say, the magazine’s readers weren’t exactly thrilled to see the perpetually glamorous screen star in a look seemingly taken from Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time” music video.

“She’s an accomplished actress who’s nominated for an Oscar. Why is she dressed like a schoolgirl [sic]? Not cool,” one commented on Vanity Fair’s Instagram cover post, while another wrote, “Would love to hear the concept behind this…because I don’t get it.

“Nicole Kidman is amazing but this style is terrible. I’m shocked she went along with this,” a third said, while a fourth asked, “Who thought that was a good idea? Mind gets confused.

Even more bewildered Instagrammers called Kidman’s look “absolutely creepy,” “awful” and “a mess.”

But her risque, ripped-from-the-runway look has found some fans.

“The haters are going to rage! Nicole looks amazing! one exclaimed on Instagram, while a Twitter user hailed her cover style as ‘an absolute service’.

The other Kidman celebs also seem to be taking a liking to Miu Miu’s latest designs; Emily Ratajkowski was among the first to wear a head-to-toe look from the collection at the 2021 CFDA Fashion Awards in November, while Hailey Baldwin models an almost identical top and skirt combo to the ‘Moulin Rouge’ star in luxury label campaign.
