Body language expert Jesús Enrique Rosas analyzed Meghan’s body language at a women’s empowerment event, pointing out the ways in which she seemed threatened by another woman and barely recognized her.
He noted at the top of the video: “Meghan has stated over and over again that she is a feminist and stands up for women’s rights. But interactions like this, without reaching this woman, cast serious doubt on that statement.”
Rosas shared that Meghan did not display proper etiquette. A circle of people formed and she burst into the center to interact with two men present. The expert pointed out that, in this type of social interaction, it is recommended to shake hands and greet a person, then go back to their original position to complete the circle again.
“You are becoming the literal center of attention, especially since you are effectively breaking the circle of interaction,” Rosas shared. By comparison, Prince Harry walked into the circle to shake hands, but then went back to where he started.
Meghan Markle had a different interaction with the men present
Rosas also pointed out how Meghan interacted with a man, specifically. She gave him a genuine smile, but she only turned slightly to greet the woman with a nod. She also did not extend her hand to greet the woman.
Rosas shared: “This is important because, when he nods at the woman, he almost completely covers his own neck with his chin. That is the posture you assume when you are threatened.”
He found the action very revealing. “There’s a very good reason Meghan didn’t reach out to this woman,” Rosas said. “So why did Meghan feel threatened by her? And she can’t get away from the fact that she was projecting that.”
Rosas called this behavior “ironic” because Meghan is attending a women’s empowerment event and she “calls herself a feminist all the time.” “But then we got 10 seconds of Meghan not reaching out to this woman, even showing signs of being threatened by her, and at the same time staying in the center of the circle to speak.”
