Margot Robbie was injured while filming a love scene in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’
Margot Robbie’s career took off after playing Naomi Lapaglia in The Wolf of Wall Street. However, the Australian actress revealed that filming did not go smoothly. In fact, she got injured while filming an as*x scene.
In the film directed by Martin Scorsese, Robbie’s character sleeps with Jordan, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, on a bed full of money. Around this time, Robbie suffered a back injury.
Robbie went on to reveal that filming sex scenes isn’t as easy as many people imagine.
“It doesn’t look like you’re watching a movie,” Robbie told Porter magazine as reported by MARCA on Tuesday, February 23.
“But, the reality is we’re in a small dorm with a crew of 30 crammed in. They were all men.”
“For 17 hours I pretended to touch myself. It’s a very strange thing and you have to bury the shame and the absurdity, be completely deep and completely committed.”
Robbie also revealed in another interview that she preps before doing sex scenes by drinking tequila first.
“I was going to work that morning and I was shaking,” she told The New York Times.
“Very scared, like ‘I can’t do this.'”
Robbie then knocked over three glasses of tequila and then took off his clothes.
She did the sex scene and she was fine.
“(Tequila) really helped keep my hands from shaking and gave me a little bit of confidence,” she said.
