He was born to a father, John F. Kennedy, and to a mother, Jacqueline Kennedy. He had sisters, Arabella, Caroline and his brother Patrick. He spent his first years in the White House.

Death

John F. Kennedy Jr. died in a plane crash off the coast of Massachusetts at the age of 38 on July 16, 1999.

He was flying the plane with his wife, Carolyn and her sister-in-law, Lauren in the passenger seat. On July 19, the NOAA ship, Rude, loves the fragments of Kennedy's plane using a side-sweeping sonar. Their bodies were recovered from the bottom of the ocean by Navy divers on July 21.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) determined that the pilot's error was the probable cause of the accident.

They were cremated in the crematorium of the Mayflower Cemetery. His ashes were scattered in the sea from the Navy destroyer USS Briscoe off the coast of Martha's Vineyard.

On July 23, 1999, a memorial service for Kennedy was held at the Church of Santo Tomás Moro. President Bill Clinton attended the memorial.
