“This person in the early hours of November 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself. She had so many discoveries to unlock and explore. I knew this exact moment would allow me to find my light again, show victory over my inner battle of self-respect, and challenge this world with piercing clarity,” the actress wrote in the post’s description.
Simpson went on to explain that her only hope for recovery was to stop drinking alcohol because she kept her mind and heart “spinning in the same direction”, which made her feel exhausted.
