The actress attended the main event at the famous Dolby Theater in Los Angeles
Emma Stone showed a little more than she bargained for on the red carpet at the 87th Annual Academy Awards.
The adorable actress, who was nominated for her work on Birdman, accidentally showed off her bare underwear as she lifted the train of her gorgeous Elie Saab dress.
Stone didn’t seem to notice the thigh-grazing slit giving photographers and fans an eye out, and continued to walk the mat unfazed.
And while the 26-year-old didn’t win in her category, her film took home a ton of awards, including Best Director and the night’s highest honor, Best Picture.
The film’s director, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, joked that he was wearing a special lucky charm last night: Michael Keaton’s underwear!
“Tonight I’m wearing the real Michael Keaton tights,” he exclaimed during one of his acceptance speeches. “They’re tight, smell like balls, but it worked. I’m here. Thanks, Michael.”
And when asked backstage whether or not he was joking about his choice of underwear, the 51-year-old director confirmed to Variety that he really, really wears the Best Actor nominee’s underwear.
“I would have liked to be in a more intimate setting to prove it!”
