Emilia Clarke N-de Game of Thrones scenes were ‘hard’

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke says she found the n-de scenes “difficult”.

Speaking on actor Dax Shepard’s podcast, she says she would “cry in the bathroom” before certain scenes – but adds that it would have happened “whether there was n-dity or Nope”.

Her role as Daenerys Targaryen initially required her to strip a lot.

She thinks it was necessary for the story – but the show would be “much different” if done today.

The London-born actress landed the role when she was 23.

It was his first big breakthrough in the industry.

“I took the job, and then they sent me the scripts and I was reading them, and I was like, ‘Oh, here’s the rub,'” she told the podcast.

“But I was fresh out of drama school and approaching it as a job.

“If it’s in the script, it’s clearly needed, it is what it is and I’m going to make sense of it. It’s all gonna be cool.”

She added, “I’d been on a film set twice before and now I’m on a film set completely n-ked up with all these people, and I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.

“I don’t know what is expected of me, I don’t know what you want and I don’t know what I want.

“Whether there was n-dity or not, I would have spent that first season thinking that I’m not worthy of demanding anything. I’m not worthy of needing anything. that is.

“All I feel is wrong, I’m going to go cry in the bathroom and then I’m going to come back and we’re going to do the scene and it’ll be fine.”

She says co-star Jason Momoa, who played her abusive, warlord husband, helped her throughout the first series.

And, despite the fact that she thinks we live in “changing times for n-dity,” she wouldn’t change the way it was filmed between 2009 and 2010.

“There are so many people who told me so many things about Khaleesi’s n-dity on the show. But people wouldn’t care about her if you hadn’t seen her being abused. So you must see it.”

Emilia is now starring in the celebratory romantic comedy Last Christmas.

She says she now has “on-set fights” about whether n-dity is necessary.

“Things are very, very different. I know a lot better what I’m comfortable with and what I can do.”
