She was spotted at John F. Kennedy International Airport that morning.
And on Friday afternoon, 20-year-old Elle Fanning was hard at work on an outdoor photoshoot in Manhattan’s TriBeCa neighborhood.
Dakota Fanning’s little sister showed off a little tummy when she lifted her arms, which caused her layered crop tops to rise slightly.
She let down her family’s signature platinum blonde hair, sweeping it from her face as crew members were seen moving behind her.
At another point in the photoshoot, Elle swapped out the crop tops for a full-length gray sweater, donning an idiosyncratic jacket.
Half of her scarf was all white, while the other half was distressed blue denim accented with massive rips, including at the shoulder.
She, who was wearing the same jeans and slippers she’d teamed with the crop tops, had a smile on her face as she walked the cobblestones.
The white screens made a reappearance while she wore this outfit, and she threw her hands in the air as the “BEACH BUMP” photographed her.
She was also seen sitting on a block of wood while wearing this outfit and apparently having her hair adjusted by a staff member.
The Georgia-born actress wore yet another third outfit during Friday’s New York photo shoot – but again, the jeans and slippers remained the same.
She draped her figure in a slightly shiny beige top with a plunging neckline, buttoned up over a gray overcoat and modeled a shimmering necklace.
The 2001 film I Am Sam was Dakota’s ticket to fame, and she’s pursued a career in film ever since, including in the upcoming Oceans 8.
She also had a guest appearance on I Am Sam, playing a two-year-old version of the Dakota character – and that part happened to be her film debut.
Her upcoming work includes a self-titled biopic of Frankenstein author Mary Shelley directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour, Saudi Arabia’s first female director.
The film follows Mary – daughter of Mary Wollstonecraft of A Vindication Of The Rights Of Woman fame – as she begins her romance with Percy Bysshe Shelley.
Mary Shelley, which premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival, will open in US theaters on May 25. Oceans 8 will bow two weeks later.
