Dakota Johnson gave a big hug to her wardrobe malfunction at the People’s Choice Awards.
The 26-year-old actress was asked about the incident while appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday.
Dakota explained that she received the Favorite Drama Movie Actress award from Leslie Mann, who co-stars in the upcoming comedy How To Be Single.
“I hadn’t seen her in a while, so I kissed her,” said Dakota, who looked elegant in a black and white J. Mendel dress with cutout sleeves on the chat show.
“I kissed Leslie, and then my dress broke. And it was a two-piece, so my top almost fell off,” she said.
Seth, 42, immediately joked, “That would have been the audience’s choice!”
Dakota was accepting the award for her work in the erotic drama Fifty Shades Of Gray and took the incident head on at the televised awards show.
Taking the microphone, she announced, “Leslie just broke my dress.”
She quickly brushed it off and said humorously, “Well, it’s not like everyone here hasn’t seen my b–bs before!”
Leslie clearly got her hand tangled in the back straps of Dakota’s dress during their embrace.
“You just broke my dress,” the young actress could clearly be heard saying.
“It’s okay, we get it,” Leslie said soothingly as she frantically tried to fix the dress.
Leslie, 43, presented Dakota with the award along with their How To Be Single co-star Alison Brie, 33.
The comedy also starring Rebel Wilson is set to be released on February 12.
