Catherine Mayer is a renowned American author and journalist, as well as co-founder and Chair of the Women's Equality (WE) Party in the UK. Mayer began her career at The Economist and has worked as a foreign correspondent for the German weekly magazine Focus.

From June 2013 to June 2005, Mayer was president of the Foreign Press Association in London. In addition, she served as Time's Editor at Large, Europe Editor, London Bureau Chief and Senior Editor from 2004 to April 2015.
