Kayla Braxton (born Kayla Becker) is a popular American sportswoman signed to WWE, where she performs under the ring name Kayla Broxton. Prior to her current role, she reported on WESH 2 News.
She is a proud graduate of Belmont University where she graduated with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. While in college, Braxton began creating online content and had a few digital entertainment shows for her school and around Nashville, Tennessee.
Six months after graduating, she began hosting her own web and television entertainment division in the top 20 television market in Orlando, Florida. In October 2016, she signed with the American professional wrestling promotion WWE and was given the ring name Kayla Broxton. Most notably, she made her debut on the October 20, 2016 episode of NXT held in Lakeland, Florida as the ring announcer.
Braxton appeared at her first pay-per-view as a backstage interviewer during Backlash on May 21, 2017, followed by appearances at Battleground 2017, SummerSlam 2017, Hell in a Cell 2017 and other PPVs. She also appeared on Raw, 205 Live, and SmackDown while working as a ring announcer for NXT, where she would act as a ring announcer and backstage interviewer.
However, she left NXT for good on August 17, 2019, on the main roster and was replaced by Alicia Taylor the following week. She is currently a backstage interviewer on SmackDown and co-host of The Bump. She is also the co-host of Talking Smack with Paul Heyman as of August 22, 2020.
