Shock footage has emerged of Miley Cyrus being groped by a crazed fan who got too close to be comfortable in Barcelona.
The 26-year-old singer was roughed up by the aggressive admirer when she left her hotel to get to a car waiting for her at the weekend.
In the disturbing video which has gone viral on Twitter, Cyrus could be seen walking past a crowd of fans with her husband, Liam Hemsworth, when the stranger grabbed her hair, forced an arm around her neck in a hand grip. choke and pulled her in for a kiss.
Footage also showed Cyrus trying to get the insistent fan’s arm out of the way before his security team intervened. But the terrifying incident happened so quickly that even Hemsworth – who was walking a few paces ahead – had arrived too late as he tried to get his wife out of harm’s way.
A source told E! News that the singer was understandably shaken by the incident. While she “always respects her fans’ enthusiasm,” the source said Cyrus was “definitely disturbed by this” but “is doing fine now.”
Loyal fans were quick to condemn the fan’s actions as they showered Cyrus with well wishes on social media. Meanwhile, Cyrus’ good friend and The Voice Australia coach Boy George was not so forgiving when commenting on the incident on Twitter.
“@MileyCyrus is hot but don’t touch people,” the 57-year-old music legend warned.
Cyrus was in Barcelona last week for the Primavera Sound Festival, where she performed over the weekend with fellow stars Cardi B, Solange and Future.
