Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon are back on the set of Big Little Lies, filming the second season of HBO’s critically acclaimed hit. And people are happy about it. This time around, they’re joined by their previous co-stars—Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz and Shailene Woodley—as well as the incomparable Meryl Streep, who plays Kidman’s stepmom.
But it’s the behind-the-scenes action that brings fans almost as much joy as the thought of the finished product. In particular, Witherspoon’s latest on-set Instagram post, which shows her with Kidman as well as the very fluffy (and aptly named) dog Jolly, sparked a wave of happiness among the two actors’ followers. (As for Jolly? “He’s got the best hair of any actor,” Witherspoon noted of the well-groomed pup.)
Not only are the two actresses co-stars on the show, but they’ve also recently championed the Time’s Up movement and issues like advancing opportunities for women’s stories in Hollywood.
The second season of Big Little Lies is set to start airing on HBO in 2019. Until then, we expect more updates featuring Jolly.
