After graduating from university, he was invited to work at The Milwaukee Journal, where he served as deputy business editor. He left and joined the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 1995. He worked at the station for a year before going to work as business editor for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. He edited business reports for two years at the station before working as business editor at The Arizona Republic.
Later, after working at the station for a year, he was hired by the Arizona Republican as Broadcast News Editor. She served at the station from 2001 to 2005 and later joined her current station in Arizona.
