Amanda Seyfried says she regrets filming “uncomfortable” n-de scenes as a teenager

Amanda Seyfried was just 19 when she played a n-de 3some on screen.

Amanda Seyfried opened up about her early career and said she regrets shooting n-de scenes at such a young age.

It’s hard to imagine today’s cinema without Amanda Seyfried. Over the past 20 years, the 36-year-old has been a part of several beloved films, including Mean Girls, Mamma Mia! and Jennifer’s body. Not to mention, Amanda has also had starring roles in hit shows such as Veronica Mars, Big Love, and more recently The Dropout.

Now, Amanda has explained that she felt compelled to film explicit scenes during her teenage years and wished she hadn’t done them.

Speaking to Porter, Amanda said she felt compelled to do risky scenes to avoid getting fired. She said: “Being 19, walking around with no underwear on – like, are you kidding me? How did I let that happen? Oh, I know why: I was 19 and didn’t want to upset anyone, and I wanted to keep my job. That’s why.

It’s unclear which movies Amanda is referring to, but she was 19 when she filmed the dark comedy Alpha Dog. In the film, Amanda’s character Julie gets drenched and has a threesome with her boyfriend Zack (Anton Yelchin) and Alma (Amber Heard).

Earlier this year, Amanda also told Marie Claire that she was “disgusted” by men quoting Karen and asking if it was raining after Mean Girls came out. She said: “I always felt really gross about it. I was about 18. It was just gross.”

Porter notes that Amanda explained that she “wishes she could come now, at a time when intimacy coordinators are a requirement on set and actors are in a better position to express themselves.”

Amanda said she now avoids any “unnecessary n-dity or sx” in her acting work. She added: “As you get older you realize it’s not easy. It can be funky and uncomfortable.”
