Colby was admitted to hospital on Tuesday and was under constant observation. He recently suffered from brain bleeding and underwent surgery. His wife has already pointed out that only a miracle could save him. She posted on Instagram on April 9, 2020,
“Please wake up.” Please wake up. That’s all I can keep asking, “Is he going to wake up right?” We need a miracle. Colby’s parents and I were able to see him through a window and speak to him last night on a walkie-talkie. We are no longer allowed to be in the hospital because Covid-19 reigns. We do not know when we will be allowed to see it again. The nurse tied her wedding ring to her ankle. I dream of being able to touch you, hear your voice, shake your hand (3 times) and kiss you again. I love you so much, and my heart is broken into a million pieces without my best friend. Difficulties arise from miracles ”

Emily’s statement after Colby’s death
Today, April 11, 2020, Colby lost her life and left her forever and Emily completely broke up. She shared a very moving and heartbreaking post on Instagram and said:
“To my best friend and love of my life, Colby. My heart is broken. The amount of physical, mental and emotional pain I feel when I think I will never see, touch or hold you again is unbearable. You are and always will be my person, my hero, the greatest thing that can happen to me. I never dreamed of being a widow before our first anniversary. Although every cell in my body is lost without you, I promise to continue to make you proud.
You were your best friend, the husband, the doggie daddy, and oh how I wanted to see you as a baby daddy. I’ll see you again soon, Colb. You will be in heaven when you meet me with a hot and humid kiss. You will be with me every step of the way. I don’t want to stop writing just like I didn’t want to stop holding you this morning in the hospital. You are my Everything. You always will be. Thank you for being the best guardian angel now.
